Neil Young is a multi-Grammy award-winning artist with fans worldwide and a career that spans decades. The outspoken artist set up The Neil Young Archives is an online destination for his fans to hear Neil’s music in high-quality and get the story behind the songs. It is a treasure trove of artifacts spanning his entire career.
Traverse was tasked with building the strategy for The Neil Young Archives’ social media. Using the archives as our raw material, we crafted story ideas based on news, dates, events, songs, albums, and tales. Neil Young himself called our Card Tour video idea “genius.”
Launched in November of 2018, Neil’s team implemented our strategy and grew the accounts from nothing into a strong, engaged community with over 33,000 followers in just four months.
